U2 has confirmed their long-awaited new album is titled No Line On The Horizon, and will be released in North American on March 3. The Irish rock superstars recorded the album in Morocco, Dublin, New York and London over the past year. The record was co-produced by their old friends Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois and Steve Lillywhite.
Some of the reported new song titles include “Sexy Boots” (rumored to be the lead single), “Moment Of Surrender,” “Unknown Caller” and “No Line On The Horizon.”
U2 is expected to launch a massive tour in 2009, as part of their deal with Live Nation. However, it was also reported today that Live Nation bought back 1.6 million of its shares from U2 for $25 million. The Wall Street Journal reported that Live Nation is taking a $19 million loss on the deal.
