RadioRNR Opens Up Submissions for Compilation Series

radiornr-150x150RadioRNR opens up submissions for two additional upcoming Compilation releases to add to the roster including,  “Like JohnnyNJune” and “Acoustic Explosion” which will featue some of the top unsigned and independent artists worldwide.

Representative of their AAA rock based format on RadioRNR.com, both compilations will represent a wide variety of music from the rock genres. Like JohnnyNJune will feature country/punkabilliy and rock cross over artists who’s music was influenced by the late music legend, Johnny Cash. “ It will be a collection of love songs and great stories, the kind you would sing while you were falling in or out of love, on the run or on a road trip, says Lisa Rodriguez, Music Director at RadioRNR. She adds, “Johnny was such a legend and so was his love story that I thought it would be a great way to pay tribute to a music legend and to the energy behind all the love stories that became the soundtracks to may of our lives. Johnny Cash influenced many genres of music lovers and it will be great to see all the different artists that we find across the world and genres for that matter, who were moved by this man and his story in some, shape or form.

Acoustic Explosion is going to be a collection of stripped down rock anthems and singer-songwriter tracks. Acoustic Explosion will be released in Sept, 09 while Like JohnnyNJune will be slated for Nov.09. Both releases will be available in retail stores and online at CDBaby  and through all the major digital distributors including, iTunes, Amazon.com, Napster, Verizon V-Cast, Rhapsody, ect.

Each Compilation will feature 20 tracks from artists from all over the globe, with 30% of the artists based outside of the U.S. Rodriguez states that the Compilation series is a creative and highly effective way for RadioRNR to provide an online portal to promote and sell music from artists all over the world.  “We are excited to be able to bring mainstream attention to an international talent pool of radio-ready independent artists who could very well be the next big thing in music.”

“This is a creative way for us to give away great music, promote the artists that we play and get the name out organically about RadioRNR as a viable online portal  for listening to and both new and established rock artists, as well as buying music from independent artists from all over the globe that you wouldn’t normally have access to” explains Music Director, Lisa Rodriguez. She further states that, “We’re giving artists another effective way to sell and distribute their music, even if they are already online selling their music digitally, we are adding to their online catalogue presence. The more albums you release as an artist, the more you increase your web presence, which is worth it’s weight in gold in the digital world”

The compilations are part of a series of compilations that RadioRNR plans to release. Their mission is to promote the station and the artists whose music they stream daily. Their Compilation series will be a series of niche releases, including the New Faces, New Music Series which has already been released on CD Baby at:  www.cdbaby.com/cd/radiornr. “We’ve chosen our music very eclectically, adds Rodriguez. We feature some of the top unsigned and independent bands from all over the globe. The advantage to the artists is that we provide a online platform for the artists to create synergy with other artists from all over the world, that they wouldn’t normally have access to. If you’re a singer-songwriter in Texas, you’re not going to get your music heard by Johnny Cash fans in Switzerland, but with the Compilation, every artist reaches each other’s established fan bases if they are all promoting it, and because we discover Johnny Cash punk bands in Switzerland and singer-songwriters in Texas,  we can bring those synergies to cross promote their music with each other’s fan bases” says Lisa Rodriguez.
